Connecting Stakeholders to Boost
Sustainable Development

According to Greenpeace, 35% of the world's food production relies on pollinators insects and upon the 100 vegetal species that provide 90% of the food worldwide, 71 rely on bees for their pollination.

Bees are essential to sustain ecosystems (and associated services) as well as to provide resources to all living communities. It is of primary importance to protect them and restore their damaged habitat.

Cities can contribute to the conservation of bees' by integrating spaces for bees in urban settings, by creating safe and pesticide-free habitat.

This brief highlights the importance of protecting bees and displays good practices from European cities.
